The sets

General points
We can regard as mobile equipments, mobile units or mobile cabins all the installations than can be easily moved and re-installed in another place without any specific adjustments.
The only necessary constraints remain the connections to the electrical energies and the compressed air.The diversity of the materials offered on the market being very vast, we will deal with the subject only presenting 3 kinds of characteristical products but which are not restrictive. They are:
- mobile equipments,
- mobile units,
- mobile cabins.

Mobile  equipments

The shot blasting unit in closed circuitShot blasting unit in closed circuit
It was invented by William MEAD in 1945. This system replaces the treatment enclosure by a suction bell whose basis which is fitted with a crownbush is in contact with the part to treat. The projection nozzle located inside and in the vertical axis of the bell projects the abrasive on the part in contact. The depression generated in the bell sucks through the air current going through the brush the abrasive and the dust which are sent towards the treatement set before the re-feeding of the tank (see picture).
We obtain thus a work without any abrasive external projection or emission of dust.
This sytem is very used for retouching operations on not movable parts (treatment of weldings on oil rigs) or very ponctual operations. They can be mono or multi nozzles, with pressure or suction. They are also the basis of complex machines in particular for shot peening.

Mobil units

Set on a support frame or on a truck platform, these impacts treatment units are complete and make it possible to intervene in any place (building industry, department of civil engineering, shipbuilding, various sites for maintenance, etc). They are made of a generator under pressure for the abrasive projection, fed by a storage silo which is filled through an aspiration with a manual picking hose.
The abrasive is purified and the dust are recovered in a capacity.
Some units have with them an air compressor which make them totally autonomous.
- the projection capacities go from 1 to 8 operators,
- the aspiration capacities go from 4 to 12 tons/hour,
- the depression capacities go up to 28 inches of mercury, making it possible to treat very deep tanks.

Movable cabins

Outside or on site cabinsOutside or on site cabin
They are designed as the inside fixed installations and are made of 4 sets which constitute the distinct functions:
1) the treatment room or work "enclosure".
This is generally a freight container of 20 to 40 feet fitted out with lighting, partitions protection, air intake and extraction.
2) the abrasive "recovering" and transportation system.
It is made through a partial or total recovery floor, or through a scanning inlet on a floor covered with strong steel.
3) the "recycling" and abrasive treatement machinery.Outside or on site cabin
It is made through a mechanical or more generally pneumatic process, set in a separate technical area or a second container placed beside.
4) the dusty air "ventilation" and filtration set.
It is made through a suction caisson in the work room and a dry filter set in the separated technical area or the second container placed beside.

Uses
These cabins are used to make maintenances on site, for the treatment of small and medium parts, or when one does not want to use covered surface.

Other mobiles

Besides the products described above, the family of mobile equipments is very varied and is also made of horizontal or vertical shot blasters for the treatment of floors, roofs or concrete walls, stone walls, asphalt or metal. These machines with different sizes, shapes or powers are either self-propelled or self-carried.
