PrefaceToday we have no choice but to accept that surfaces preparing and finishing operations, better known under the name of "sandblasting", "shotblasting" or "glassblasting" are more and more spread in all tha industrial areas. Their applications are multiplied constantly and form part of new activities continually. However, these techniques are very often little or bad known by the future users and can lead, because of a bad choice, to regrettable technical or economical consequences. Facing such a development, it became important to initiate the beginners and to improve the well-informed, putting at their disposal the knowledge and the competences of the professionals experts in the subject. This site does not pretend to become the "Bible" of the "impacts surfaces treatments" but more an essential companion that will limit the error risk and will allow to save time and make money. It might appear as being incomplete for some specialists but for the moment, its unique vocation is to answer the basic questions or to fill the gaps of some non-specialists. As modest as it is, it can become the documentation or a guide a lot of people were waiting for. It asks nothing better than being enriched with the knowledge that everyone has and will want to send us.
